Ralph Du Casse, Painter 1916-2003
Ralph Du Casse was a noted abstract artist, who showed at the Six Gallery, and other well known beat galleries of the fifties. He was on the fine arts faculty for many years at the San Francisco Art Institute, the California College of Arts and Crafts, UC Berkeley and Mills College, where he served for a time as chairman of the arts department. His work is in the collections of the Guggenheim Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in Brazil, the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco and the Virginia Museum of Fine Art.
